The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Brilliant FujiFilm UK Service.

My FujiFilm X100V's aperture ring became difficult to turn so I used their online repair service on Friday morning to book a warranty repair. A pre-paid envelope and box arrived Saturday morning, the camera was packed and posted straight away.

I received an email confirmation that the camera had been delivered 1000hrs on Monday morning and a further email at 1230hrs to say that it had been inspected, a new front assembly fitted and was ready to be dispatched by DPD.

I received it at 1320hrs today in pristine condition.

Professional, courteous and unbelievably responsive. An exceptional level of service.

Thank you and well done FujiFilm UK.

Haven't had chance to do much proper photography since October (eek!) due to being busy. Did have the X-T2 and 18-55 with me whilst out with the digger and dumper over the weekend though, and took this whilst waiting for Claire in the digger to catch up!

Just pulled the trigger on a used 16-55 for my XH1; really, really was tempted to get another 16mm f1.4 (I love that thing) but the 16-55 is just too damn versatile!!

Would love to see Viltrox make a 16mm..... if it was as good as the 23mm f1.4 and 33mm f1.4 then it would be a winner!

I love mine, though I have so far kept the 18-55 as well for 'dirty' jobs where I don't want to risk the good stuff. I've said before I'm sure but the 16-55 means I can ditch the Zeiss primes & macro for work and just carry one lens now. Far nicer if I don't want to be lugging kit around.

I’m sure I will crack one day and jump in for the 16-55.

The only disadvantage of the the 16-55 is the weight- I thought I'd miss my bag of primes, but I don't, sure it doesn't let in as much light as some of the primes, but it really is a wonderful lens.

I would love a 16-35 F2 or F1.8 though

(owner of 18-55 and 16-55 and ex-owner of 16mmF1.4, 23mm F1.4, 27mm F2.8, 35mm F1.4, Zeiss 32mm F1.8, XF18mm F2)

I never really got on with the 18-55; great lens IQ wise but I've never liked 18mm on APS-C;

Do it!

As much as I love the Primes (real soft spot for the 16mm f1.4 and 23mm f1.4) it is that versatility that I love about it; obviously it doesn't have the speed of the 16mm and its probably the only focal length on the 16-55 that I think the prime is hands down better but its such a good lens; easily equivalent to any 24-70 I've had.

Just got this and the Viltrox 33 1.4 now!

Same. I don't like 28mm on FF or 35mm either, just seems a no mans land where it isn't wide enough to fit anything in, but wide enough to perspective distort things like people quite horribly. The 16-50 is actually quite nice, I had one for a while when the 18-55 broke and had to be repaired as I was about to go on holiday. Might get another to fill the gap when the 18-55 is sacrificed for a 70-300!

I might look to shift my 18-55 and 23 1.4 to fund the 16-55.

I quite like the look of the 16-80 f4 for travel; but my biggest issue is that I take a lot of city/architecture stuff when I'm on holiday; why leave my best glass at home!

As much as I love my 16-55 for general walkabout stuff (and other things like toys ;)) I dont think you can beat primes. I still have, and will keep my 23 and 56.

Cat with the H1 & 56 wide open :)

Thats lovely

I went 50 f2 for size, price and weight ( and AF ) but I do sometimes wonder if I missed a trick

What is the minimum size SD Card that will be required for the firmware update (1.02) 31/3/21. Please.
