For bikes I find a 23 plenty wide enough.Took the 10-24 with me yesterday to shoot some bikes
Won't be doing it again, couldn't find a way to use it creatively

Kinda glad I didn't go for the 8-16 now.XF16mm F1.4 if you want create wide angle, also has close focus capability - that and your 35mm should be all you need. I've never partically liked the XF10-24mm, but then I don't really like zooms!

Thanks. Actually have the 16 alreadyYes but you can't yet tick it off in the I-Spy Book of Lenses That I've Owned
The 8-16mm is huge (and heavy) for X-mount lens, plenty of used 16mm F1.4's about https://usedlens.co.uk/?search=XF 16mm F1.4&retailer=0&brand=all

Huge creative opportunity if you can get your head round accepting tons of distortion, you need to get really close and think about the angles.
Pete. I followed that link. Might have to revisit the 8-16. Some very good distorted effects on view.Trev don't give up that easily, take a look at this.....

No stick with the 10-24 it's more than good enough in my opinion, plus it's nice and light, easier to get down low with, you need to get down and dirty mate.Pete. I followed that link. Might have to revisit the 8-16. Some very good distorted effects on view.
Haha. Getting down isn’t the problem. It’s getting back up.No stick with the 10-24 it's more than good enough in my opinion, plus it's nice and light, easier to get down low with, you need to get down and dirty mate.

I'm heading up to London tomorrow and hope to be able to make time to visit a stockists there too try one in the hand - aside from wex are there any others I should go to?
Nothing really, well at the minute anyhow Going to use the X-S10 a lot more. The Ricoh’s are lovely cameras but still prefer the 23mm on a crop sensor. That's gone up then, was £2030 last week.
I see you're shifting the Ricoh's, what you getting next ?
Wex at Aldgate have cameras out on display ready to play with. Park cameras tend to have everything in cabinets so has to be supervised which I find irratatingI'd be amazed if there were any deals yet aside from the one below..
