I've had two swell up on me (white ones. Can't remember the make) from my t2- H1 days. Fortunately it happened in the charger, but had to get pliers on one of them. Never again will I use third party batteries.

This was called the hole in the road, there were shops underneath, one of which was a proper cool clubbing shop. The hole in the road isn't there anymore, it's been filled in and it's a tram stop now.

Great shots, can I ask how you achieved the effect in image 6 please. I’ve got all these thoughts in my mind from riding pillion on a bike backwards to zooming out with the shutter open but then the tram is in focus too so I’m confused. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, it’s done in photoshop using the radial blur, you can also use path blur and create multiple paths. This was the video I watched, but I used different selection methods (preference) and I preferred the effect that the radial blur gave over the path blur. The only downside with the radial blur is it’s hard to pinpoint where you want the vanishing point so it’s a lot of trial and error therefore making the layer a smart layer is essential.

Many thanks I’ll watch that later on and hopefully give it a go myself. It creates a great effect.

Damn, I knew there would be a use case for Photoshop :rolleyes:

My Adobe Photography Plan has recently expired and I couldn't think of any reasons to keep PS now that LRC has the clone/eraser features (previously only found in PS). I don't remember the last time I fired up PS on my PC.

I was considering just getting the Lightroom 1Tb plan (which includes LRC) and saving some money over the Photography Plan.

Need to decide soon as I can't do any developing in LRC until I renew.

Traded up the last of my Sony gear and purchased the X-T5, 56mm f1.2 WR and the Sigma 17-40mm f1.8 that will sit nicely alongside my X-E5 and the 23mm f2 & 70-300mm. Camera on charge and week off coming up.

Slight correction. NYC is the greatest city in the world for street photography.

"I'm originally from Murfreesboro TN (Nashville) and have lived in NY for a short time and still have many close friends there. I've had four trips back there in the past year and still love the place for street photography"

Ironically wildlife and landscapes are my preferred genres, particularly in the U.K. but I guess absence makes the heart grow fonder

I go through phases of what I shoot, I’m currently doing urban but I’ve done Chesterfield and Sheffield now and I don’t really have time to go further afield.

I’ve got some motorsports events coming up in July. I should really get out and do more landscapes.
 
Just been sorting through some images on Lightroom. I'd forgotten how much I love the Viltrox 27mm 1.2. Had mine two years now. What a brilliant lens. Reminds me a lot of of using the Sigma 35mm 1.4 art lens on full frame DSLR's. That was another firm favourite. For the money this thing sells for, particularly used, it feels like a cheat code for APSC users!
