The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

I saw that one, it would annoy the living day lights out of me ;)
Surprised you found one. They’ve not been available for over a year now. In fact I don’t think LensMate have an online presence any more.

Just goes to show we’re not all the same:
Yeah, I've set up the rear control dial 'button' to act as AF-ON for BBF and so I'd have to move the lensmate one out of the way every time I wanted to focus. The smallrig one still gives access to the rear buttons and control dial (y)

I didn't look into whether I could find one as I saw the design and dismissed it (y)

I never got on with Fujis historically, but I'm becomming a convert ;)

We tried to tell you years ago, but you were then obsessed with having your D750 repaired under recall/warranty every week, and that micro 4/3 postage stamp size sensors met your IQ requirements for motorsport :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I think the worms threw you off the scent..............................

Have your credit card ready ;) I'd strongly recommend the smallrig thumb grip, makes a huge difference (y)
I’ve got a Smallrig grip on my XT-4, if I end up buying an X100 I’ll probably look into something like that. I know it adds some bulk, but it will still fit nicely in my camera sling, and it’ll be worth it for the comfort.

In my defence the way Lightroom handled Fuji files was pretty awful. Aperture was better but not great.

I still got some great shots with the m4/3 :p

Not the hand grip, the thumb grip. I tried the Small Rig, Hoage, and JJC hand grip and didn’t like any of them.

This is the thumb grip, doesn’t add any bulk.

I searched high and low for a Lensmate one for my second X-100T (I had one on my first one and gave it away with the camera when I sold it), I couldn't find one so I reached out to Match Technical Thumbs Up in America and got one of his for the T. When I moved to the V I re-worked (with needle files) the one from my T to fit my new V and am very happy with it. That being said if I could find a Lensmate one for the V I'd get one they just feel right, I have one on each of my 3 X-T2s.

Found this, in the middle of nowhere... Only in America ;)

As it happens, I just won a viltrox 90mm in a contest.

I no longer have a Fuji or any APSC camera, so I'm going to see if I can switch for something I can use. If not, there will be one in classifieds for a good price soon. ;)

The Fuji is 3x the price though…

It's always a dilemma.

I'm a fan of the Fuji 90mm F2.

I think the UK price is a bit high. It's gone up a lot since I bought mine a few years ago, And the grey market differential also makes UK pricing looks depressing.

Sods law eh ;)

My real (mental) issue, is that I have the 80mm. Although dedicated macro. I've had this dilemma for years

A good pre-loved one will be a lot less!!

It is an astonishing lens and loves to be shot wide open

Indeed, though a used Viltrox is going to be even less again. Though I agree the Fuji 90mm is a wonderful lens, had one a few years ago for a while. AF is as good as it gets too. But I've also been blown away by Viltrox's primes so I wouldn't be surprised if the Viltrox isn't far behind in terms of IQ.
