Thanks Graham, given the weather forecast I may not need to stop down much :D I'm looking forward to using it, AF seems quite snappy with the X-H2S, and I have a suitable monopod to give my shandy drinking southerner arms a rest.

Actually considering the Hahnel NP-235 battery I have is good for only about 1700 shots (motorsport use) and the original Fuji gets over 5000 shots, I don't think its too bad. These are cheap compared to my Leica batteries!!!!!

I watch some of the Petrolicious stuff anyway. But yeah, the photography content of this was very unexpected and very cool. I thought others would enjoy it.

Things I’ve learnt so far today

1) it’s heavy, just something I’m not used to!!
2) It’s very very sharp, probably sharpest XF lens I’ve used
3) My no name Chinese 4 stop filter is complete pants, softens every image, so that’s for the bin!!
4) Easier to pan with than I expected, possibly because I’m stood further back
5) Did I say that it’s heavy?

It’s been raining all day and still is! Lots of red flags

I've just looked the weight up on the Fuji website... it's nearly a kilo heavier than my 100-400!

I've learnt something about my lens as well:

I didn't know it did that with the IBIS.

Yeah, I knew that, 100-400 has stayed in car all day - don’t think it’s IBIS is class leading these day!!!!

The weight is quite something. I've never used a monopod but it has made me wonder about trying one. That said, it's not just about holding, I'm constantly wary of how I'm moving it around for fear of ripping the mount off my camera. But the results are nice! :)

The weight would put me off, I got tired of lugging around the Tamron 150-600mm and that was 400g lighter than the Fuji 200mm

Used it a bit on a monopod today, but mainly hand held, might try some more monopod tomorrow

It’s heavier (or certainly feels heavier) than the GFX50S + GF100-200mm, I’m certainly impressed with the IQ but the lack of zoom is challenging, but I’m discovering different places to shoot from and often standing further back!!

Only a half day tomorrow (as nothing really starts until noon), but a full day on Monday
