They might think that the seats face backwards like on a train.
 
I'm sure it's quicker to just use a knife (if able.)

A colleague brought a banana to work for lunch. When she peeled it it was already sliced o_O

Someone had inserted a pin through the skin and used it to slice the banana, repeated every half inch.

Years ago when my nephew was little, I got him to hold a pre-sliced banana on top of his head and then, to demonstrate my martial arts skills, I gave the banana a sharp tap with my fingertips. He didn't seem too impressed until I told him to peel the banana and his jaw dropped, especially when I told him if the banana hadn't been there that would have been his brain in slices.
When he grew up and became a student, he used the same trick to impress the ladies.
