I know this has been done to death but I cant find the thread on here the forum search does not seem to work on this website. I have read and re read all the reviews on the net and Amazon etc.
I have been looking for an ultra wide angle for ages but not had the money up till now. I am not to £100 or so, so price differential is not an issue. The two lenses I keep coming back to are Nikon 10...24mm and the Tokina 11.16mm. I dont need the walkabout thing just image quality for Landscapes in indoor stuff cathedrals etc. What I like about the Nikon is it goes to 10mm which I understand makes a difference from 11mm. But the Tokina is faster and does seem to get good reviews over the IQ. They both seem to have issues over CA and barrel distortion and the Tokina over the flare. I have also read some copies of the Tokina have flaws. But I do like the build quality of the Tokina and weight is not an issue as not a walkaround plus I will have a tripod for the Landscapes. Its a really tough one this any views to help me would be much appreciated.
