I've been floating around for a while but before I become a full on lurker I better introduce myself.
I'm Elaine, I've recently started working as a photographers assistant in Dublin and am loooving it.
I've noticed a kind of gap in information on-line for aspiring photo assistants so I'm creating a blogspace on my personal experience including advice and tips for hitting the ground running when you first enter the studio.

I really hope it helps and would appreciate any kind of feedback.

That is interesting.
Nevertheless, I think what I'm doing Is a little different.
It's a great site though, one I appreciate being introduced to.

You're so right in your blog, when you say theres an electric atmosphere in a studio when shots are being taken, flashes are going, music is pumping... I totally love studio work.

Good luck for tomorrow ;) - Double shoots are great fun... very tiring though! I agree with your blog entry - struggling with a task by yourself wastes time, if you work as a team/ask for help to get something done it gets done far quicker.

Thanks about the site, it took for ever to get a site that I'm really happy with. Just need to make the front page load a bit faster as some people have said its a bit slow.
