I haven't ever really noticed this type of flowering tree before. I was photographing an event last night and the venue had several of these outside. I thought they were too beautiful to pass up...

I would have evaluated the view

Well, if you had then you would have seen a rather large couple of buildings and a car park as the background rather than from this side where you had a green, grassy hillside with a large maple tree as a background.
