I got Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson. As a newcomer to all this stuff found it very interesting and learnt a lot from what I have read so far (about half the book in one sitting..)

That was the book which made everything clear for me, when I started (a couple of years ago) . It's good to re-read now and again, I think, just to cement the knowledge .

It took away all of the 'fear' of the technical side of photography for me - great book ! Enjoy.
