Diego is a very respected member on here.

You, however, have clearly signed up for one purpose. Your first post is to 'defend' Hatton.
This is a forum aimed at photographers. Are you one? You don't need to be one to sign up, however, if you're here just to argue one point, I have to ask why. Is it a one man crusade around the internet to respond to all those naughty people who say mean words about Hatton's team..

And FYI, so what if he comes away with a sour taste. He was accosted by a gorilla, so he'll tell people. I really don't think he'll be working with them again anyway ;)

Because he is stating that it was a displeasure meeting him, because of those around him.

Because the downside to meeting Ricky Hatton was the experience that followed.

I have no doubt that if Diego had met Ricky Hatton alone, then there would have been a much different post.

then should he not have said Ricky was a pleasure to meet but it was his crew that wasnt instead of saying

To be fair DG does say on a couple of occasions that RH seems okay, it's the entourage which was less than charming. I don't think it's worded particularly well but it seems clear enough to me. :shrug:

And can we all try to keep it civil please. :)

I realise banning the guy would be silencing his opinion, but to me he's just trolling now and looking for an argument.

And I hardly think my opinion was a personal attack dod, I'd say it was obvious to anyone.

No i signed up to disagree with the way he chose to represent his proffesion in the way he dealt with his experience

just didnt realise it was a crime to have an opinion no matter who i am or what education i recieved
 
I think the bigger issue is Ricky's mate never formally introduced himself in the Welcome forum :(

Lay off everyone. There's a pile of you have broken site rules and those rules are enforced fairly across everyone.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, regardless of whether or not it's one you agree with. If the discussion is civil the thread will survive, if not it will be closed.

Strange that you don't seem to disagree with the way that this guy represented his profession and his employer ...Hatton!

Diego has recounted what was clearly an upsetting and frightening experience for him and recounted it to a load of fellow photographers via this board. It couldn't be a more natural reaction really.

Of course you're entitled to your opinion, but it would carry a little more weight, if you weren't quite so intent on climbing even further up Mr Hatton's rear end than you clearly already are.

Oh, I go round my mates houses for Crumpets and Tea regularly. That is why they are mates. Good to know you are that tight with Ricky you have never had tea and crumpets.

No one has actually had a go at the Hitman, just his entourage. We have a go at you because you came in very agressively, and joined the forum with the purpose to upset people.

If you had said

"I'm very sorry, dear boy, but I think you may have misrepresented my good friend Mr Hatton and I object. I think one should think twice about posting, and maybe read the post before you stick it up on the internet, as it is not the most polite thing you have written. In my experience Mr Hatton is a lovely chap, and so are all his team who act for him. I think this may have been a one off, and you are not playing fair, chum"

But you acted just like the people did that our "big time poster" experienced.

And also, never judge a book buy its cover. Just cos were on here, and we take pictures, doesn't mean that we don't "pump iron", or do "a few rounds in the ring". Many of us also get to take pictures of good looking ladies wearing little, or nothing, on a regular basis. In the name of Art. Bet you don't.

Anyways, I can't be bothered with this anymore. We know what was meant, and if "Ricky's Mate" wants to go it alone, that's fine by me.

Oh yeah, and I hope you do the photos at Ricky's wedding. Cos then we will know who you are.............. (don't forget to take the lens cap off. That's the black circle at the end of the camera. No the other end, the tubular bit.....)
 
It would appear to me Ricky's mate that you are fixated on the opening sentence of DG original post and are therefore taking it out of context. As has been pointed out to you in various posts that, if you read the whole post, the "displeasure" was aimed squarely at the entourage rather than Hatton himself.

Personally I don't care if DG has 20,000 posts or 2, I would still be saying the same thing. I'm all for reasoned debate, but unless you move on from that sentence and start putting a coherent case forward, it ain't gonna happen.

I am very disappointed that the poster who signed up just to post in this thread to cause trouble acted the way he did. An interesting and insightful thread was ruined by one man and his rather small brain and overinflated sense of importance.

Shame on you, You know who you are, and you know that we know who you are.

After a lot of umming and arring, we have decided to remove the OP post and reinstate the thread. there is a lot of interesting information in it, and its a good read..
