Ok... just my recommendation but i'm sure many will back it up...

If you're new to having your own site, consider wordpress.. consider an all in one blog and portfolio site.

There are plenty of free themes out there, plenty of "widgets" and "plugins" .. it's not too hard to customize. It is easier to look professional.

That way you can show off your work to the world. You can start to build up a reputation as a photographer, even if you're brand new to the world of photography. It's all about sharing your photos with the world. Don't be afraid to post about links you like, things that inspire you, books that help you.

Basically, if you're like me and not a web genius, it doesn't matter! I was on blogspot which did the job, was customizable to a degree but really, and the point of this post is this, I should've gone with wordpress from day one. It's worth the learning curve.

So there you go, one of my tips for a newbie, get your work shared on your own site asap. Share it with your friends and family, then with your clients as you get them. Build a portfolio online on your own site!

Mine is at the link below, granted yours might be better :) but it's mine :)

I use it aswell, have done for a while, the plugins and themes seem to get better and better now

I wouldn't want to use another site as Wordpress has everything i would ever need
