Tips on cleaning lenses

It sounds like people have been having issues with the quality of the knockoff ones, with understanding how it works or with delivery (which isn't a comment on the item).

None of the complaints there apply to the genuine Lenspen in my experience.
 
I've also been told acetone and IPA are good to use (after blowing off any dust/grit first with a blower) with a microcloth.
As i'm a Lab Technician, i have access to gallons of the highest purity solvents available to man!!!
 
Step#1; rocket blower to get the worst of the dust off the lens.
#2; a swift but gentle brush with the brush on a lenspen.
#3; huff on the lens to cause a little condensation, then rub gently with microfibre cloth to get as much grease/ watermarks off;
#4; a quick going over with a genuine lenspen
From time to time, a gentle clean with a lens tissue moistened with a drop or 2 of isopropyl alcohol.
last step is another quick huff to see if the condensation is even.
