I love the look of some of Tom Barils work. I know he used a lot of Type 55 and I think pinholes but would anyone know if any film easily available now would get close to that kind of look.
It’s got a warm tone (which I think he did with tea) and I’m assuming it’s shot in flat lighting which could account for the slightly lower contrast. I wondered if using something like hp5 and pulling it would get close? I never used hp5 in 4x5 though, only in 35mm and I always pushed it when I did
