Tom Wood on Lens Culture

Saw this last week, reminded me a little of the work of Daniel Meadows and the Free Photographic Shop, where he provided free photo's for those that posed for him in and around a rented Moss Side shop on Graeme Street. That was an interesting project documenting the lives of the people of the area on the 1970's whilst he lived amongst them. The bus project that followed was also interesting, especially when the Sun did a follow up article some years later.

I never know when to stop following trails as this lead me to Nick Danziger's Britain, the exit group with Nicholas Battye, Chris Steele-Perkins and Paul Trevor recording poverty in the 1970's
