I know many of you also use Topaz. Last week, I received an email from Topaz to renew my subscription from 8th September for $199 plus VAT for 12 months though they will give me a $100 loyalty discount. In the past year, LR Classic noise reduction and sharpening have significantly improved and are now appear to be as good as Topaz so I have cancelled my Topaz subscription. Topaz has informed me that I have several Topaz non-subscription modules which I can continue to use. This is not an anti Topaz post as they have served me well for many years but one of the reasons for an Adobe subscription is that it funds development which it clearly has. I do not wish to pay twice for the same thing. I am now uncertain as to which Topaz modules I will be losing and which will remain; I guess I will find out in about ten days. How did other Topaz customers deal with this?

IIRC haven't Adobe bought Topaz, so if correct it may be a case of how many Topaz products become integrated into LR and/or PS........plus how long will Topaz remain a separate entity?

Edit ~ yes, here is their press announcement

Just hoping sharpen ai keeps on working for a long time. This is the only still genuinely useful piece without current equivalent
Not sure yet whether I have a perpetual licence for Topaz Sharpen, or whether LR Classic is just as good now. I did know Adobe had bought Topaz but had forgotten. If LR Classic sharpening is not as good as Topaz, I am sure i will be soon.
