Totally confused as to what Mac to buy.....

Not a problem as my third screen is a graphics tablet interactive display with max 1024x768 res and the usb adapter I got goes up to 1600

Guess I'm lucky my i7 was picked up and I got it home with no mishap. I was more than impressed that it used my time machine backup to install all my software & settings & was up & running withing 2 hrs. The only tweak I had to do (due to old system) was write a single line in a file to ensure 64 bit was up & running. I am very impressed withthe speed increase in LR & Photoshop from my IMac 24" 2.88MHz. The extra ram does make a difference.
I was always a little concerned the screens were too bright & the adjustment happened in big jumps whilst calibrating the monitor, but the guy in the Apple shop showed me a little utility which gives you a fine tune to match the screen with the printing. Look for a programme called "Screenshade" it makes a hell of a difference.

Got my usb display driver today, now hooked up with my 24inch iMac screen, 22inch Samsung and 15 inch Sympodium tablet, how cool is this:

Well it's here! I'm writing this on the new Mac Pro and it's lovely. 
So far I'm impressed with the speed, and I'm slowly getting to grips with yet another OS. Had grief setting up RDP sessions with my PC but got round it in the end by using TeamViewer.
First thing I had to do was grab USB Overdrive and disable the Mac Mouse Acceleration as it was making me go too slow. Just copying terrabyte or so of images and will then work out what I'm going to do in terms of new workflow and RAW storage.
Very happy bunny.

Cheers. I'm currently taking the painful approach of rather than importing lightroom catalogs and images in their current messy format, I'm trying to sort out my workflow and reorganise things a bit. Only got 15k pics to move around but the trick is creating a structure that I won't outgrow in a while.
I'm going for the RAW on NAS with catalogs and JPG exports local to the Mac. Then a separate NAS share with backups of everything local. Mac is mirrored, NAS is mirrored so that should be enough copies of everything! lol.
