touchscreen phone problem

I've just got my new touchscreen phone and have come up against a problem already...

If you "dial" a business (say) with a menu system, the menu system doesn't recognise it when you tap in the digit that gets you connected the right extension.

According to the guy at orange its a problem with many touchscreen models.

Anyone else have find this?

Hrm- strange. Works fine on my HTC Hero- I call lloyds tsb (who have an insane phone system), and get through it ok.

methinks you need to enable keypad sound when using the touchscreen, might be wrong

I don't know that phone but have a look for an option that has something to do with "send DTMF"

Orange now tell me the phone is faulty and they are going to replace it.
