In this thread I will put the jpegs made straight from the tif scans. Please click through to flickr for the full sized pictures. I will place next to each a processed version,made by each person to show what the basic scan can also be turned in to.

As each person sends me their tifs I will convert the same way in LR and post them up.

all scanned at 2400dpi in Vuescan
Colour scans had the film base accounted for

Unfortunately yes, the last person (marvin d martian) whom was sent the negatives etc has gone AWOL.
 
yikes this is something I have been looking at recently as I have just found film again, unfortunate that the negatives have gone adrift. I have been looking at scanners for negatives but for now I think I will be using either a pro labs (bit expensive) or using my DSLR.

Has anyone used there DSLR for scanning there negatives?
