I have had photoshop cs5 for ages now but I hardly use it because my third party filters are in CS4, how do I move them into cs5?

If you are talking about ACTIONS you created yourself, save them into a folder in CS4 and then you can load that folder (action) into CS5.

The 3rd party ones should be reinstalled and they will find the correct CS5 folder. Not sure if this answers your question.

ok thanks, it was the second point, so I have to just reinstall - hmmm, gues i need to find the dmg's on my hard drive!

cheers

Joe

You can find the filter folder in CS4 And CS5 and drag them across.

Go....
C
program files
Adobe
Adobe cs4
Plug ins
Filters

You will find all your filters there.

i'm on a mac, there is no C lol

but i did try and drag my filter folders across and that didn't work, manual install i think

It does depend on how the filters had to be installed in the first place, if it was just dragging and dropping the .8bf file into the plug ins folder that thats all you need to do now, if they had an installation program then you will need to run that again and input any software keys again as well.
