triggering 430 EXII

Thanks graham. I also wanted to ask how exactly does the whole set works. transmitter on the hot-shoe of the camera and speedlite mounted on receiver but does the receiver has to be connected to the camera? i found this on amazon:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/RF-602-Wire...HTU2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1290918893&sr=8-2

and it says there : "Compatible with many Flashguns,Note: You need to connect the 3.5mm sync cord to and the 6.35mm adaptor,it will be the Cable 3 in the picture."

I don't quite understand it. sorry if i'm being thick;)

I've done some research during my night shift:) I think the cord needs to be connected to the camera only if I want to use the receiver as remote shutter release. somebody correct me if i'm wrong:)

You can use the Rf602 as either a flash trigger or a remote camera trigger. To use as a flash trigger with your 430EXII the flash only needs placed on the receiver hotshoe.

The RF602 can also double as a camera remote control (that's what it was originally marketed as), however YongNuo no longer supply a free cable to do this with the set, although they can be purchased separately.
