I've got a Slik 88 tripod that I have had for years and has served me well over the years. I've recently bought the Sigma 150-600mm Sport and putting that on the tripod has made me question whether I need a replacement as there is a certain amount of wobble. What are the recommendations? I do sport, wildlife and landscapes where I would use a tripod. What type of head would you use as well? Budget up to £150 but preferably closer to £100. Thanks.

Asking a lot for that budget. Maybe used will get you better value. I'm sure there exceptions but low cost inevitably means compromises, quite often in stability. If you plan on using it a lot then adding a bit more cash would be a good move if you can.

2nd hand manfrotto 55xpro would be a good solid buy. Should get one for £80ish.

That leaves you £70 for a head.

The slik 88 is pretty rubbish to be honest (I used to have one) so anything decent is going to be a fair bit better.

If you want to go cheaper than I'd try a redsnapper, just don't buy one of their cheap panning heads, they really are too cheap to be any good. (in my experience anyway).

I would have that, PM me if interested!
