TWO droplet collisions in one photo

Great shot and a really helpfull set up.

I apologise if this is a stupid question, but how do you keep the rest of the water so dark, yet the droplet lit up?

No worries. The flash is aimed at the reflector behind, which reflects off the water surface, making the water appear opaque (and whatever colour the reflector is), yet the droplet lit up
