The Kiev 4 was made in Kiev, Ukraine, in 1974, the Duper Ikonta 532.16 dates to around 1954. The Kiev is a Soviet built Contax III using machinery and other tooling taken by train from the Zeiss Ikon factory in Dresden after WWII, technicians from Zeiss went as well. So unlike other Soviet cameras it's not strictly a copy, and it is also extremely well built, unlike Fed, Zorki, Zenit, and other Russian cameras.
The Super Ikonta was the top of the Zeiss Ikon range of 120 folding cameras, a couple rangefinder, uncoupled meter identical to the Contax/Kiev, and automated film loading, like the Rolleiflex Automat'sand more modern MF TLR, SLR, & rangefinder cameras>
The Super Ikonta is in very good condition, the Kiev 4a looks mint, not a single mark or sign of use. lenses, shutters, range finders, and meters on both are excellent and fully working, focus accurate & smooth. I bought the Super Ikonta in February for £40, the Kiev was 3 time that, and arrived toady, need to check the Gost ISO conversion, and now I need to get shooting with both cameras,
