Unknown source on Flickr?

Heya,

Was just wondering if there was any possible way to find out where this unknown source is? about 3/4 of my hits at the moment are from an Unknown source(s).

Could this be someone linking my images? Or does anybody have an idea what these sources actually are??

Thanks.

I had a bunch of hits on one of my Flickr photo's when I emailed a link to a mate of a shot I'd taken, proving we'd completed a charity walk. He then forwarded the damned email to everyone that had sponsored him (over 100 people!) Next thing I knew, flickr was innundated with people looking at the picture from "an unknown source"

So that's one potential place they're coming from... could be someone who's spotted something on your flickr, and rather than steal the image and embed it, they've put a link instead... At least it's better than a dodgy copy of your shot being in circulation

Thanks...

Any other ideas? Its the fourth day running I have more than 70% of my hits coming from an unknown source!

I think this came up a while ago on Flickr help. If I remember correctly it's direct flickr traffic, so it's views from groups/contacts etc. :)

Edit: It's possibly something like a group you are in links to a blog, if someone clicks on your photo in the blog, that would be an unknown source.
