USB restarting every 1/2 hour???

I brought myself a little portable Hard Drive yesterday, mainly so that I can back up all my stuff from work...

Plugging it into both my home computer, and work computer, it seems to restart itself every 30-45 minutes, even when copying files.

Is this the Hard Drive, or Windows?

It is USB powered - I don't know whether it is the HD, or the computer resetting...

the computer doesnt go off though does it?

if its the hard drive that goes off (lights go out?) it might not be getting enough power from the USB port. try another port (pref at the rear of a desktop for example).
