I have just got a UWA lens and have been out trying it in anger today. I have to say, I find it really challenging to use to get interesting shots. Either things are tiny specks or are suffering so much from the dreaded verticals that it makes your eyes water!

So, are there any tips and techniques that you can offer to make the best of this lens?

I really would like to master it to take some interesting and unusual architecture shots.

Hope some of you out there can help

There is a 101 page post with photos taken with the 10-22 here

There is the full range of good, bad and ugly images on the thread. It may be a good exercise to plough through them and decide what looks good to you and then see why they look good.

Some common compositional styles start to appear in the good images that could be worth emulating when getting used to this lens. I found it useful
