Vector File to Jpeg?

Hi all,

Im after a favor if possible. I have a vector fie ( a logo ) that i need converting to a Jpeg - can anyone advse how i can do this or someone that can do t for me.

If you have photoshop or similar editing software then File->Save As then select jpeg.
 
I do have photoshop but cant seem to open the file in their. I didnt make the original logo but it was sent to me fo when i had some banners printed but could do with having it in jpeg for my envelopes.

Any idea's?

What file extension does it have? if PS won't open it some other program might.
 
I dont really know - just opened up the properties and it says its a CDR file and opens with Windows shell commor.

Does this mean anything?

Really sory if i sound tick - not to savy with things like this!

Maybe think about saving it as a PNG (useful if it's just blocks of colour, not photos) instead?

Usually PNG's are accepted wherever jpeg is. :)
 
A .cdr is a CorelDRAW file but can be opened with Corel PSP too.
 
If you are still in touch with the person who created the logo in CorelDraw (bless them!), then ask them to save the logo in vector EPS format. This will retain all of the benefits of vector format (resolution independence, small file size etc.) but it will also easily rasterise into PhotoShop.

If you're not still in touch with the original designer, I'd try to find someone who has CorelDraw and ask them to do the same. I doubt you'll be able to do anything with a CDR file without CorelDraw.

Just another quick thought - if you have PhotoShop, does than mean you also have Illustrator?

Depending on which version you have, Illustrator might open the CDR file too. (Fingers crossed!)
 
Download the demo version of psp, open and save the file in as many formats and in the best quality you can, then uninstall psp (unless you find you like it).
