I had a virtual machine running in Virtualbox before I installed a new OS however even after backing up everything I thought I needed I still can't get the machine up and running fully again. The closest I have got sso far is getting the original install up and running, however I still can't work out how to get the latest snapshots and secondary drive to work again. The machine itself isn't important however some of the data/files on the secondary storage disk are some that I don't particularly want to lose (nothing really important, just some stuff thats a bit inconvinient if I lose it).
Is there any program (other than VB) that I can use to open the .vdi files* and extract the files I need? If the files can be extracted I have no problem with reinstalling another virtual machine from scratch if I need it again.
*two, around 9GB each, one the original drive with OS and the second the storage drive AFAIK.
Thanks
