Vista disc needed..!!!

Hi guys My laptop has a virus and looks like it will need to be formatted.

It is a hp compaq 6720s

I need to borrow a disc for a day or two if possible..? I DONT need a License as I have that already with the laptop..

If anyone can help Please pm me and I will give you my address


I will post the disc straight back to you as soon as I have finished with it..

Read the licence sticker on the bottom of the laptop it will tell you the version.

personally I would just download the DVD and burn it and use that to install it, you have the licence that is all that matters the disk is irrelevent. I use the same set of disks on all my customers computers the fact they are all licenced is what matters.

Does the laptop not have a recovery partition? press... Never mind they use a recovery disk set for this laptop. read above

Looks like that part has been rubbed away.

It is Vista Home Basic from memory. I only don't recall as it was promptly removed once HP returned it from repair and XP installed instead. It's a much better machine now

If you really must have Vista, you will need the number from your rubbed out sticker (if legible, but better still, get XP on there for a better running bit of kit.

Also, why reinstall??? It's just a virus, remove it and get yourself Eset's NOD32 Anti Virus to stop it happening again
