Yeah its excellent, also sold as the Kiron 105mm f/2.8 (or rebadged as the Lester Dine)
Not sure about prices, these sort of lens go for more than they are really worth, although lovely to use. The Kiron / Vivitar is an amazing lens.

An absolutely beautiful lens, imo probably one of the best macro lenses out there as long as you are happy with manual focus (and lets face it who uses AF for macro anyway). Prices have dropped recently, they were going for silly money but now fetch in the region of £150/200 for a mint one.

It is very very sharp and will show any flaws in the skin so not very flattering.
I used mine purely for macro.
