waiting or not for the right image?

Hi all…

I was out yesterday freezing my hand near the river in my city shooting some pictures to the river in the fog (not a good fog actually so quite useless trip) and it comes to my mind another interesting topic after ‘light or shadow’ that had quite a good success in the forum.

The point is this one…

Are you waiting for the right second and waiting in one precise place that the right image comes to you or you walk around all day looking for different points of view and subject?

Speaking of Travel Photography are you looking around all day in a new city or stop by an interesting place waiting for something to happen?

Speaking of going out nearby your place shooting ?

Regards

Hi There,
Lots of people can sit all day waiting for "one" shot. to be honest i dont really have enough patience for this and tend to wander around looking for something slightly interesting. There is always something worth picturing if you're prepared to make the effort.

post some up anyway, can never see enough images or different styles, you might just inspire one person, and then it's all worthwhile.

have fun

I know... I will! give me 48h/day :-)
I have quite finish to take care of more then 2000 raw files (400 survivors) that I shot since I have my new Canon.
Maybe one week, meanwhile you can see my web.

keep moving...i think statistically you will get more chances with differing environs

With bird photography there is a lot of sitting waiting. Probably in your situation you have an idea at a location but are waiting for the right light conditions. Patience is the key, however if you don't have that then wander about and see what comes up, that may also prove frustrating, but at least you will have had some exercise :D

i mostly keep moving and dont hang around foir anything. but i have taken some photo's that i think i should go back and wait when the conditions are right to get the improved shot.

but i dont think i could wait over an hour for the right shot, unless the weather was nice and i was comfortable, and i had something to keep me amused meanwhile.
