thanks all.
Bazza,im confused about what does the pan camcorder have as a sensor in comparison to say the FZ1000,im a complete noob on camcorders, do they work differently to the cameras video
A common mistake trying to do a comparison between a camcorder and a camera, they are two completely different animals. Try shooting 50 still frames a second with a camera for example, my panasonic HC-X900M can do that. it also has a built in 32gb memory and takes SD cards so you can record to both or stills on one and video on other. Also with a camcorder you are not limit to recording time as you are with a camera
Try zooming with that FZ1000 and then with mine
example, watch whole video
I have yet to see any camera zoom as much and as close at video end all by itself.
Now I do have both DSLR and camcorder both have there place, for example using a camcorder in a church service makes no noise, a camera shutter click can be annoying.
One thing often forgotten is sound reproduction, just as important as video quality
How often have you looked a a photo and wondered what was out of shot on the sides?
for specialist photos a camera wins hands down a camcorder can't compete, say for portraits etc
you may ask how good are they indoors?
Hand held on ship railing indoors
yes I did have a chance to talk to her wish i had a tripod with me
I tried doing video with my Nikon D800 and the auto focus made loud clicks and it is recommended doing everything on a manual setting
