Help! Watched thread emails and notifications

Hello to the powers that be,
I seem to be getting email notifications from watched threads sporadically (some don't come through at all) and some over 24hrs after the posts are made.
I just received 2 emails today which were from posts yesterday and there have been several replies since which I received no emails for.
When viewing the forum I do seem to get the little bell at the top of the page showing replies to threads but some of those seem to be missing as well. Not a huge problem but I don't want to appear rude if I'm not replying to posts because I don't know they've happened.

I thought the odd behaviour may be of interest to you Adminy types (sorry if its added work to check out).

Ah, looks like it may be related for sure. Weirdly I got the notification for your reply to this at the exact same time as a notification for a post at 10am this morning.
So they are coming through just without rhyme or reason.
