Not quite sure if the link below will be to everyone's taste, but I find it interesting to watch an aircraft's movement, live on my computer.

I watch a plane fly above my house and can see that it's a certain make and type and it's flying from "a" to "b"and at what altitude.

Don't tell me, I know i'm a sad old man. :D

Once BRS-HRK flights start, I want to see the route they tend to take - I usually take some snaps through the window and always have trouble finding where they are (Venice is an easy spot but some of the islands off the Balkans less so...)

They can cause panic attacks though.

We were using flightradar to look for the BILs flight from Goa which should have been over Iran at the time but we could not find it. The wife was getting quite worried until I checked the email with his details, he was due to fly the next day. :bang:

an app on phones called planefinder - does the same thing...

Uncle has often said, "wonder what that plane is over, and where it's going."

just pick up phone, open app and point the camera at it... and hey presto... he crapped a brick!

These trackers don't always have all flights on show. They rely on members with ground monitors feeding the data to a website. Not all monitors are active 24/7.

http://planefinder.net/ is another one.
