Water Lily at night

Morning! I don't often venture into this corner of TP but I was playing about the other night and came up with this. It's a bit of a heavy crop - I didn't have time to change lenses 'cos it was time to read my son his bedtime story. I suspect that I've consequently overdone the noise removal & sharpening.

.. but those are details, really. Does it pique your interest? Or is there just too little going on?

Interesting, I rather like the texture and framing which the fence adds but I can see that it won't be to everyone's taste.

It's not the fence but the white!
The very low-key of the scene is leaving all the attention to the lily. I think the
"theatrical effect" would be awesome without it. The scene would feel like moon lit!

I like it a lot, with a bit of crop at the bottom leaving the dark reflection as a "frame" might look even better

Ah.. the white is the reflection of the last of the light in the sky

thanks.. I did try a crop but thought it no longer looked like a fence, just a dark bar.
