water marks

after seeing some fantastic watermarks on here i was wondering how some of you did it ..ice got cs3 and paint shop pro x3 wondering if you could give me some pointers please

I made the watermark in photoshop as a png file so that I can adjust transparency etc, then use lightroom 3 for size, position, transparency etc applied on export.

cheers guys il take a look in both the only thing that i get confused with is in the carel program i make a watermark with 2 different types of lettering and save it but when i use it again its the same lettering but im sure il sort it out ..thanks for the links il take a butchers at that

I found this TUTORIAL to be one of the better, its for CS2 but suspect it will work with CS3..You can also save this as an action.

I created the image that I wanted and then used 'Define Brush Preset' on the Edit menu of CS4 to make a custom brush. Fairly simple and very flexible.
