waterproof case

Hi guys, soon I will go for my well deserved holidays. Got my dslr ready
But Im not ready to go underwater. Im looking for a waterproof case. Not for my dslr though
I own an prehistoric Canon IXUS 800 IS and I desperately need a case for it. I know for some time, that there is a proper case for that -- Canon WP-DC5. Unfortunately the price hasnt changed for years really. Im not willing to spend around £150 on it. The camera itself is not worth it.
Please advice me what to get. Thanks for reading and your replies

I've seen reviews of things like ziploc bags designed for taking cameras underwater in the past. Not as good as a purpose designed case but possibly a reasonable compromise.

not pristine having been underwater a few times but I doubt if I'd use it again.
