WCMUT....what cheered me up today

Happened to come across a football match that was being streamed on YouTube and S4C....

I'd forgotten it was the title decider for the Adran Genero Premier ie the Women's Welsh Premier League. Cardiff City have had their name on the trophy ad infinitum; not any more. As a North Walian and a Wrexham supporter I am so happy to see them knocked off their perch. 4-1 in the end. But whereas 10.5k fill the ground to watch the Men's game, they only half-filled the main stand (~3000) for this match. If the standard of this match was anything to go by I think the women's game has come on in leaps and bounds. Katie Barker does know how to score penalties.

My Tesco delivery driver, (Hayden) turned up on time, with evrything as ordered. The fact that she was young and gorgeous had nothing to do with me giving her a good review!

We're flying to Thailand from Manchester 11th April. Flying with Qatar Airways. Flights and airport parking were booked in January and got an great price on the parking...

The Iran conflict started but it never entered my mind to cancel the trip. Since Qatar has restarted flights they've been making adjustments to their flight schedules, some I found out about last week, and some over the weekend.... The result was our outbound flight from Manchester is now departing 45 minutes before my booked entry time for the airport parking...

Made a phone call this morning to the Customer Service desk about my booking and they've adjusted my entry time at no extra cost. (y) (y) (y)

I'd been thinking they'd tell me to cancel the booking (fully refundable) and make a new booking but at a higher cost....... I did a fresh quote and it was 60% more than what I paid!!!

After a truly cr@p golf week last week, I managed 21 points over 9 holes this morning.

Was yesterday but what cheered me up was the first proper ride out on our bikes then lunch and a cuppa sat outside in the sun
Lots of people out on their bikes too which is nice to see
And it turns out that my other half is absolutely fine on her bike with her bad knee we was worried about that

Blood test time but I was in and out in 5 minutes, after going in 5 minutes early. Picked up a couple of books for holiday too.

WCMU(yesterday). Out walking on Dartmoor after a bit of an injured foot/rain/rain/flu/more rain absence. All my walks are 8 miles...... till they're not. This was was 11. Best bit was sitting on a rock having my lunch, all alone, talking to the sheep and listening to all the birds (yes, I know........)

That sort of company can be the very best, Jan!

A full morning of warm, sunshine, long enough for me to pressure wash my (concrete) driveway - what is all that black stuff and where does it come from? We never used to have it but now, it comes back every year. Salt? Rust? Brake dust? Tyre dust? Aeroplane fuel residues? It covers the whole area, not just in spots (like bird poo). It reminds me of when I used to live in the industrial north of England, when the mill chimneys and trains were belching coal smoke? "Diesel bug" from all the aircraft that fly over us (often dumping fuel - US military - dog fighting practise etc?)
:rolleyes::(

After an MRI scan a couple of weeks back, I have been given a last "all clear" and been signed off.

Fantastic news. I had my results the other day. Bloods were all normal, and my CT scan showed no recurrence of the cancer. Just have to wait for an MRI on my liver next month.

Just the follow up to the diabetic blood tests a week or 2 back now...

I sold a lens on eBay 3 weeks ago, title and description were correct. Listed as no returns accepted.
After 3 weeks I have had a message saying the seller wanted to return the lens as “it didn’t fit”
Suspect the buyer wanted for a holiday/job or just changed his mind about purchase.
Fully expected ebay to side with the buyer but declined return and stated description was correct and buyer had possibly just changed their mind about purchase after having it for 3 weeks.
To my surprise I had a message a few mins later saying return was closed, have checked and once closed case cannot be reopened
BUT:
Suspect if the buyer had claimed lens was faulty the outcome would have been different

Yesterday...

Mrs WW trying Marmite on toast for the first time... She didn't like it and said "And who gonna eat it?" :D

Eagerly anticipated!

WCMUT was spotting a fox with a squirrel in his mouth in front of opposites' garage. At 09:00 or so. Not seen one quite so brazen in a while, so guessing that he's feeding some youngsters. Again, guessing it's a He rather than a She since he was looking reasonably well fed and glossy. A bit surprised too, since the new people opposite have a couple of dogs and the big briar patch that hosts the foxes' den butts up against their fences.
Just hoping that the youngsters come out to play when we're looking!
