Web pages not loading correctly - help!

Hello

has anyone any ideas... web pages are not loading correctly this evening.

No images load .. so I had to guess where the button was to create this thread. The line at the bottom of the page says it is trying to download the sitelogo.gif.

I cant see any pictures at all !

I have tried re-starting the pc and the internet box, also cleared cookies and off internet files, but no luck.

I am running Xp and IE 6

Fortunately the submit button is showing.

tired that.. no luck. It driving me mad ! .. would add a donk image but cant see any of the emotions either !

it was all working ok this morning before I went to work but has been 'broken' since I switched on this evening.

As for IE7 ... excuses ...
up until now IE6 has been working (if it aint broke.. !!)
have never got round to it
PC is old and ancient (well have had it since 2003 .. does that make it pre-historic)
hate putting new things on it incase it stops altogether.

Could be a dodgy IE browser plugin.

Have you tried an alternative browser, just for testing purposes?

You can try disabling BHO's (browser helper objects) one at a time.

I've also seen a virus cause this problem.
Try hitting your system with whatever tools you have...AV, anti spyware/malware etc.
 
thanks for the help .. I tired running Norton (ok I know it's useless but that's what on the system) it didnt find anything. Thought I'd try downloading AVG ? but it is very hard when you cant see the buttons to press !

I have just download Firefox and I can see pictures with that :)

Had enough of trying to sort IE for tonight will start again tomorrow

Is it worth downloading AVG the free one ?
 
Daft question maybe but have you tried a reboot?
