wedding help

No,it is not passionate,emotional,granted.

It is a subject where people who do it for a living think they, and they alone, who spout about it on here, have the god given right to be the only ones able to do so. Quite frankly, it is pathetic. If your good enough and give the customer what they want, then you will make a living. If you overcharge, take the pee and behave like Allah, then you won`t.Easy really.

now im offended by that... not because I do wedding photography, but because I am a muslim. but hey its only the stupid internet, people say what they want.

I think Wedding threads should be banned here, they bring up so much drama!

Then you are far too easily offended.

Hey! All weddings are passionate, whatever the religion or not.

What I and fracster are referring to is the passion of the wedding photographer (or not)

Oh, how marvellous... First it's weddings (guaranteed to cause some dummy spitting), then we have religion added to the mix... All that's missing is politics! ;) :bonk:

Come now gents, shake hands, swirl the whiskey glasses and play nice...It's friday :)

Si, who are you voting for?

:D

And I agree, that wasnt the point I was trying to make. But anyway, please ignore and lets not detract from the thread topic.

You are both talking rubbish!

A 600mm is where it's at boys ;)

To be serious for a moment there is room for both and personally I use both so I can see that both of you are actually right. When shooting candids I move round the edges (room permitting) and pick off shots with the 70-200mm but I also have a shorter lens on the other body (50mm or 24-70) and I will move through the guests taking the shorter range ones too.

It doesn't have to be one or the other and neither are right nor wrong but a matter of taste and style. So play nice! :)

Sorry hsuffyan. I missed your point. Hope I haven't offended you.

its cool, no offence taken.

Ah! Just read back and get your point! I am not religious, but respect other peoples beliefs and culture. Hope that a certain someone will extract something they have written.

Big of you just to say this:

Respect!

Errr,no. Why should I?

If I had said "God" rather than "Allah" would you have had the same response? Probably not,so stop snivelling and grow a pair..................:)

 So why didn't you say God rather than Allah if you thought it wouldn't get the same response! ;)

Sorry Fracster, I hate being {PC, but if you used God and offended a Christian I may well have posted a similar reply.

For me it's just a matter of respecting each other in this multi-racial/cultral society abd getting on with each other.

Edit: I have already grown a pair of ............ Thanks! :) (And I bet my willy is bigger than yours! :D )

Er...........Hello???? did anybody forget about my request other than Si in this shambles of a thread?

Or *my* request.
FWIW I couldnt care less about the reference to Allah, God, Jesus, the Thetans or whatever mythical character is used as a reference to make a point.

However, fracster, either reply to people with tact and respect or you will find yourself being unable to post. Simple. Telling them to snop snivelling and grow a pair isn't on......unless I'm saying it.
