All shots taken with D300, 150mm Sigma + 1.4 TC and some in sunlight, some with flash. Even this combo doesn't get you in as close as you would like so opted for some gnats ass scenic views too ;)

oh yes, any ID's welcome, they are are all just small crawly or flighty things to me but fascinating never the less.

edit: Now with ID's thanks to Alby

Number 3 is fantastic, in every respect. I love the sense of scale, looks like an opening for a CGI movie, fly themed :D

I like it a lot. Others are pretty hot too!

Gary.

Excactly what I was thinking but you already posted

YV these are fab.

(y) thanks guys. I know this kit is never going to get me those minute detail shots we see done so well round here so did opt for trying to give some idea of scale and environment instead. There were plenty of oof efforts that hit the recycle bin, but its good fun trying with this kind of stuff, really enjoy it :D

Excellent results there Yvonne, great detail and colour in all of them, especially No2.

I'd love to know what the critter is in No5, I seem to have loads of them in my garden this year and I don't ever remember seeing them before

No5 looks like a hatching Lady bird to me but I know Jack really :wacky:

Great set.............It's amazing what you can find in your garden when you really look :clap:
