Weird filenames

Hi All,

Just getting some photos off my camera, and I've noticed that some of them have filenames like IMG_4595, but most of them are _MG_4595.

Just wondered what the difference was.

It is to do with the colour spare setting. If you set the colour space to sRGB the file names will be IMG_4595, if the colour space is set to Adobe RGB the file names will be _MG_4595.
You will most likely want it set to sRGB.

Oh right, I read an article in a magazine which recommended to set to Adobe RGB as it is a bigger colour space, particularly for greens.

Strange that the file names have changed though, I haven't fiddled with that setting for months, and all the photos on the camera today were taken today, wonder why it changed?

The trouble with Adobe RGB is that if you save the file using it and upload it to, say, Flickr, it will look washed-out as their default setting is sRGB.
