What would you say is the following

A 'Flate' Scene
A very Contrasty Scene
A scene of average subject brightness

The reason i am asking is i am doing a course and i have to produce images showing control of subject brightness range with perfectly-exposed image include scence listed above. Could someone explain what they understand what each is needing, i am have a moment i think and have loss the plot and just cannot think what to photograph :bonk:

A flat scene is where the lighting conditions are dull and do not throw the seperate componets in the picture into relief. There will be little no shadows and highlights.
A contrasty scene is where the light source is very strong producing intense highlights and deep shadows.
Average subject brightness lies between the two above.
