What backup Nikon for my D90 ?

Hi all, I enjoy using my D90 but I would like advice on which Nikon would be an ideal backup camera, this would also double up as a good learning camera for my wife (leaving my D90 alone ). I had been considering D50 as my lenses would all work on that body, but D5000, D40, D70 have all been floating around at decent prices.

Any pointers ?

If your budget is in the £150 or less bracket then my choice would be the D50, it's an underrated wee camera plus it uses SD cards, whereas the D70 would mean buying into a different card type (CF).

Thanks, I am keeping an eye for a bargain Nikon setup for my wife, but the D50 seems like a good starting place for her.

Only thing is the D50 can't accept cards about 2gb...not too bad as you can get 500 Raw on one 2gb anyway I guess.

Why not get her another D90????? I'm sure she is worth it!
