Hi all, im new here and new to photography.
I was just wanting to know what camera i should look out for as a begginer, any sugestions on what to buy.
I think i may have to buy second hand at the moment until i get some funds in order. I think im after a DSLR camera. Any help would be realy great.
Thanks Dave.;)

Hi David,

Whatever your budget the important thing is to go to some shops and try as many bodies as possible

This is because you need to

Find the camera that is most comfortable in your hands, with the control and menu layout you find most intuitive. After all you will be holding and using it not us.

Asking for recommendations only gets the people recommending the camera they like, which may not be suitable for you.

All the cameras take good pictures, it is you however that will make them great.

Welcome to TP

OK and thanks for the replies, but can anyone recommend a good photography shop that will let me test the cameras out to get a good feel.
I don't want to go to Curry's or Comet as they don't really know much at all.

Dixon's also have a good range on offer and the staff knows some about the products. I know if buying from Jessops they have mini classes to help with understanding your camera.
Good luck I am also a newbie :)

Its all about cost, how much you want to spend and how the camera feels in your hands

Jog on down to Jessops and handle a few is my advice
