What classes as nude?

Hello, I want to post an image but am not sure whether to put it in portraits or nude..

All it contains is back, arm, and face. Can it go in portraits? There's nothing on show :P

What's the 'definition' of nude? For future reference. I had a look at the rules, but they weren't specific enough for my pic!

Thanks :)

I'd say that'd be fine as there are no naughty bits on show...or even hinting at it (by the sounds of it)

Best off waiting for official confirmation mind you! :D

well.. there might be, a bit of.. the side of something.. female, but still, nothing explicit, and nothing visible apart from that, the rest is covered :P

MODs always can move it to the right section :)

Why not submit it to the mods for approval first, that way you can be sure where to place it.

I'd say if the model is nude (doesn't matter whether you can see anything) then post in in N&G to be safe. You can always ask a mod to look in and move it if it's ok for general portraits.

gee.. now I feel really comfortable with posting it on the forum.

Image is being forwarded to everyone for approval now, who has asked.. NOT! :P

Hum, I will probably just post it in N&G then.. never thought I'd be posting work in there though!

liking the family guy quote there. I wasn't going to say it, I guess I didn't need to anyway :P

The Peter Griffin side-boob hour?!

SWEEEEET!

Lou, post it in nudes & glamour for now, you could always find a mod to ask them. I'm not sure whether that would be the correct use of the RTM button, but only a mod could give a you definitive answer as it's them who 'police' the forum.

And I'll take a copy for approval too.

I DON'T WANT TO PUT IT IN N & G :( :shake: mmeeehhhhhhhhhhh

it doesn't fit in over there at all, nooooo!! I'll find a mod first. Any idea which one?

Try Marcel! he's good with boobs! (making them anyhow!!)

I'm not sure what's wrong with posting in N&G. The forum doesn't define a style, just a level of 'safe for workness' surely? There is all kinds of work in there.

there's nothing wrong with posting in n & g, I just don't see my image as nude so I'm confusing myself!

I know the work is varied on that board, but out of the 7-8 or so that I clicked on from the first page, all were glamour, nuts styleee. Which isn't what my works like, at all :)

I guess I'm just wanting it to go to the 'right' audience, and putting in in N & G will mean that a percentage of the forum that would see it otherwise, will skip it :)

it's probably actually a cruddy pic anyway and I'm making a fuss over it like this :D

N&G isn't only for dodgy glamour shots. :)

Seriously there are also many very good art nude/figure images in there.

Remember that some very young people visit this forum so anything that might be a bit too exciting for 13yr old boys or difficult to explain to 6 year olds should go there (mummy? Why was the lady on daddies 'puter not wearing any clothes?').

Basically, Don't introduce any 'surprises'.

Also anything that might not be suitable for viewing in a public office.

nowadays full dress is nearly nude
think of the bikini...strapless..:D

eroginous zones are out...the rest is art

Agreed - the reason for the Glam and Nude section is to create a safe-for-work environment and to safeguard under-18's from accidental exposure to bare-bits...

Any image that has an under- or un-dressed model featured should be in there...

It's not for Pron and any image that resemples Pron gets deleted PDQ...

I've been reading this thread for ages now and will be fascinated to see what all the fuss is about...

uhoh.. well.. I hope you all like it then!!

It's over in nudes & glamness, titled 'Art Nude, Trauma'.

If you wouldn't mind, if anyone has the time to read the little request from me about how the viewer sees the work, and could then write a little bit in the comments (along with any other comments you'd like to make), that would be amazingly helpful to me & my work!

Lou :)
