Not Safe For Work?

Also do you think the NSFW tag is used by the forum member to self police or is it genuinely used by staff not wanting their boss to see what's on the screen.

Having never worked in an office, I'm probably a bit out of touch as to what it's like. :)

P.s this is not a shameless plug to look at my NSFW 52 thread, but you can if you want :naughty:

Anything with genitalia, or erotic style T&A...or blood and guts (real, that is).

Art-Nude I might not worry so much about unless too much beaver/camel-toe is on display or is that's the main focus of the image - say a bodyscape...

I generally take it to mean anything you'd be uncomfortable showing your grandmother or 7-year old son/daughter.

Well, for me I won't open anything like that at work because it's not part of my job, and it's deemed inappropriate by most of the ladies at least! I'm not a photographer, so viewing photos of a risque nature would look very inappropriate indeed.

What do I deem as inappropriate? Really difficult one to say. Depends on the content of the photo, not how much they are wearing! Here's examples of posts I've seen come up with NSFW flags, and what I personally think of them:

- Outline of a naked female/male form in steam/smoke. Safe
- Shadow of a naked famale/male form showing the outline of curves. Safe
- Shadow of a naked famale/male form showing graphic detail such as a penis, nipple, etc. NSFW (people far from the PC may not realise it's not actually a nude!)
- Portrait in lingerie of a female getting ready to go clubbing. Usually fine.
- Portrait in lingerie, but is suggestive, or generally anything taken in a studio... NSFW!
- Part of a naked body, such as the hip, or partial breast/bottom. Usually safe
- Anything more than just part of a naked body, i.e. an almost full nude, even if it's not actually displaying anything rude or naughty, still NSFW.

That's roughly where I see it anyway. Anything clothed is fine, but again, depends on the viewing angle, what the photo suggests, etc.

The entire internet is NSFW, shouldn't be on it at all.

It wouldn't matter if you were reading TP or had a smut movie on screen, i think a boss would be pretty ****ed either way.

However in reality, anything goes in my office.

NSFW is where the result of getting caught on the internet turns from "stop that and start doing something useful" to "May I remind you of the Acceptable Usage Policy? If I see that again I'm filing a report of misconduct"
