What do you do when you're having one of those days where you really think your work isn't good enough?

I promised that I'd donate a framed photo for some fund raising...only I'm having one of those days where I don't really like my work and asking someone else to shoose an image I'll still hum and arr.

Ahh b****r.

Why do I always have a naff day on a day that shouldn't be naff? :thumbsdown:
 
Shut the computer down

Have a coffee/wine/beer/fag/whatever floats your boat

Do something else

Look at it tomorrow

Some days you just have to give up:bang::D
 
One of those days ?????. Only one is good in my book ;) That`s most of the time for me. I work on percentages of if i take enough crapshots, something has to shine. But then again, as the saying goes "You cant polish a turd" :lol:
 
You're not alone, sometimes some paintings just never seem to work despite the hours spent struggling with it, you feel like throwing all your brushes in the bin, then the next one really pleases you, and some blighter ends up buying it and you feel sad that it has gone. We must do it because we like suffering :D
 
Sadly Nattelie I think that of every picture I take. I've been told I'm over critical but being a Virgo thats the norm for me.

I've took heed of a mate who told me to have a quick flick through and then don't look at them again for a week. I know thats not possible in your case but it works sometime for me.

Now you know why I rarely if ever post pictures. :(
 
It's not that I hate all my pictures, it's not that I've been for a shoot and dislike them all, it's just that there's only 1 picture (I need several) that I like and think is suitable...I don't seem to think any are good enough/I'm chuffed enough with, to submit as raffle prizes - which I know is silly and I know that some of my landscapes are good...just today part of me very much feels that they're not good enough.

It's all you can do, really. I suppose you could go out and reshoot a few of what you're seeing as crap pix but the chances are that you'll think the reshot ones are just as bad!
