What does a camera club vice president actually do?

Depends on what it says in the constitution...

frisks members on club meetings in and out. The look on male members brings a smile , on female membes a look of hope :woot::exit:
Are you sure that's not the president of Vice?

Our club doesn't have one (nor a President) the chairman is as close as we've come - a post thats not officially been filled for 5 years

I like all the answers, but feel that @Oldbones is possibly the most accurate.
That's what I'd been told, but I figured there had to be more too it.
Obviously it's been hinted that I should put my name forward, and I'm not there to take on responsibility, although I don't mind talking rubbish in front of people occasionally.

We are all good at something.

At my club we have a constitution which outlines the responsibilities of the various appointments. Some years ago a detailed description of each appointment was also produced to be held by the Secretary for the very reason you raise. Few people would volunteer without knowing their responsibilities.
